If you are looking to buy what is pictured, you will be disappointed. These have NO COUNTERWEIGHTS as the pictures show. These boom stands are way more stand then boom, but for around $25 ea., what can you expect. These need to have the other vertical tube in the middle of the stand to allow them to raise more than about 4.5 feet. And a little more "boom" would be nice. Overall these are OK stands for the price, but just don't expect to much height or boom. If you are looking to buy what is pictured, you will be disappointed. Not an "Adult" stand
Stand would be good for a very light hitting beginner or a child's drum set. Also, my biggest bone of contention, I was unable to tighten the boom arm tight enough for it not to slip out of place. I would have returned it for a refund, however, I took a pair of pliers to it and essentially destroyed the wing nut trying to tighten it so it would not slip.

Not heavy duty fell over the second I put my toms on it maybe ok for a child’s kit do not buy this if you are intending to use it for any other then a coat rack ... even then it will probably topple

Purchased two stands to use with four toms ranging from 8x10 to11x14. The stands are working well. They are not heavy duty Pearls or Tamas but they are well balanced, sturdy, fully adjustable, and able to do the job...if you don't over-play the drums. I use them in a 10 member percussion ensemble and they are doing well. I would recommend this product with the understanding that it is not for extremely heavy playing.Purchased two stands to use with four toms ranging from 8x10 to11x14. The stands are working well.
