signed ANDO Japanese cloisonne vase w/grey background 8 1/2\" Meiji ESTATE Fresh This is typical of the high quality silver wire work of the Ando workshop.. the vase is in excellent condition it has a few extremely insignificant faults which I am mentioning for accuracy there is a normal and minimal amount of age pitting barely visible but almost always seen in these early vases the top rim has a tiny rub as shown once again negligible and there is a one inch scratch to the left side of the floral wire work that takes a bright light to notice...see last pic.. This is a beautiful vase with size and with a very seldom seen background color I tried tomcapture this grey in my pics the crisp first full view is the closest to the actual color.. Although not marked this appears to have silver rims I did not clean there is some tarnish on the rims. The current items I am listing are from the ESTATE of a long time collector and are top notch in terms of condition and quality .
