This is a well done and historic Antique Old West Native American Indian Chief Portrait Oil Painting on Artist Board, depicting the stoic and dignified portrait of a Native American Chief, wearing a tall headdress of eagle feathers, and staring laconically outward, away from the viewer's gaze. This piece does not appear to be signed, but perhaps you recognize the artist, or the subject depicted. This small gem is approximately 10 5/8 x 13 5/8 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 9 x 12 inches. Good condition for age, with heavy scuffing, edge wear, and paint loss to the vintage wooden frame (please see photos.)
