Click to View Image Album GLASS CUTTER / PATTERN NAME: The glass cutter and pattern name is unknown to me. This vase definitely has the look and quality of American Brilliant Period cut glass that was made sometime in the early 1900\'s.

BLACK LIGHT TEST RESULTS: Confirms American Brilliant Period (approximately 1876-1916)

MEASUREMENTS: 11-5/8\" tall and 6\" in diameter on top.

WEIGHT / RING: It weighs a hefty 5.7 pounds and has a nice ring when tapped.

BLANK / GLASS CLARITY: Blown / Bright and clear.

CUTTING DETAILS: The main miters have nice depth and the overall precision is excellent.

POLISHING QUALITY: The finish looks and feels very crisp.

CONDITION REPORT (ALWAYS VERY PICKY): The teeth are in good shape with just a few pinpoint to pencil point sized nicks. My picky eyes noticed a couple of minor extra bevels on the teeth that could be from some minor repairs. The side pattern area looks to be near perfect and I had to search very hard to find a pencil point sized nick on it. The bottom is in good shape and shows typical wear scratches for a piece like this. The interior is clean with no sickness or residue.

FINAL COMMENTS: My camera struggled to take good pictures of this heavily cut piece and I can assure you that it looks much better in real life. In a lighted cabinet, it definitely grabs your attention with its outstanding brilliance. Give it a good home.

offerDING FORMAT: There is with a $9 starting price. This is my favorite way to sell even high-priced items. I will never under any conditions end my sales early to sell to an anxious buyer requesting a buy it now.

SHIPPING & INSURANCE: A flat rate for shipping with insurance included by USPS Parcel Select (formerly called Parcel Post) to anywhere in the U.S.A. will be $12. This method may take longer, but should save money for both of us. Occasionally Priority Mail is cheaper or about the same amount as Parcel Select with the current discounts. If so, I will use that quicker service if it is practical. I don\'t ship my cut glass outside of the U.S.A. Please don\'t ask me to make an exception just for you. ATTENTION: This same vase appears in the Wallenstein, Mayer & Company of Cincinnati, Ohio 1911 & 1913 catalog. I would like to thank a fellow er for this information. Unfortunately Wallenstein, Mayer was a wholesaler and not a glass cutting house. Several cut glass patterns / items that appear in their catalog are also present in the Sterling Cut Glass Company catalog also of Cincinnati, Ohio. It is certainly possible that this vase was cut by Sterling, but I have no solid proof of that.
