This listing is for a truly beautiful signed 19th century German KPM plaque of Psyche holding an amphora vase. The plaque itself measures 9 ¼ by 6 ¼ inches or 23.5 by 16 cm. The plaque is housed in an open work gilt wood frame with a deep red velvet matte. The frame measures 17 ¼ by 14 inches or 44 by 35.5 cm.

The plaque features the beautiful Greek goddess Psyche standing in a wooded setting holding an amphora vase in her hands as she looks down at it and away from the viewer. The plaque is after the original painting by German artist Robert Beyschlag, 1873. It is signed on the back with the impressed scepter mark along with “K.P.M.” and the letter “H” below it. This is a signed KPM plaque not to be confused with many other German painted porcelain plaques which have the generic name "Berlin" plaques.

The condition of the plaque is excellent, there is some minor chipping to the gesso at the corners of the frame and darkening to the gilt patina. Please note any white spots are from lighting glare and not on the plaque. The plaque is pristine.
