This is for 2 beautiful antique Trio Sets of teacups, saucers and dessert plates, made by Theodore Haviland in Limoges France. The red decorator mark was used from 1904 into the 1920’s so they are between about 100 and 120 years old. This set is lovely and delicate with pink and pale yellow forget-me-nots decorating the cup and saucer and plate. These forget-me-nots are also decorating the inside of the cups, another sign of quality. There is a lovely intricate design imprinted into the porcelain that looks like rick-rack around the edges of the cup, saucer and plate, and there are more features that are hard to describe, so see the pictures I took with the light behind to illuminate the design. They all have the TH mark impressed into the porcelain, except for one of the dessert plates.
I see no chips, crazing, cracks, or stains. Looking at an angle to the light, I see minimal if any wear on the glaze. There are ridges in the porcelain design on the saucers where the forget-me-not pattern shows some rub wear. The cups are 2 & 1/8 inches high, 4 inches in diameter, the saucers are 5 & 1/2 inches in diameter, and the dessert plates are 6 & 3/8 inches in diameter. The cups hold 2/3 cup easily, 3/4 cup to the very top.
