A unique a fabulous piece with casting glass faces attributed to René Lalique using wax models.I did not found any signature, however both masks are applied ornaments so may have signature on back (because they are applied mounts i can not remove them from the lamp to check back). I exposed the masks to different angles of light to explore and show its impressive details. This magnificent and unique lamp has Rene Lalique mounted elements, so this artist coud made those masks on request to applied them on this French lamp, probably for Samuel Bing s Paris Shop. This lamp is exquisitely decorated with white enameled accents, 24 karat gold lines, leaves, ribbons and two cameos. Neoclassical style with mythological composition. Original lamp shade with gold accents and relief of flowers. Removable jeweled burner in original condition (not electrified).Circa 1910. Very good condition with minimal signals of use. No restoration, lines, cracks, broken or missing parts (excellent condition considering its age).A really extraordinary, sublime, important and imposing lamp for demanding collectors.
