ANTIQUE English Coalport Sevres Porcelain Saucer Hand Painted Blue & Gilt Floral
This is a BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE hand painted saucer from Coalport in Shropshire, England. It was made between 1845 and 1855, as is indicated by the mark on the back. The saucer has an AMAZING hand painted rose floral pattern with powder blue separators and gold gilding. The effect is BEAUTIFUL. It is very Georgian in style. This saucer has a "fake" Sevres mark on the bottom. This was used by Coalport between 1845 and 1855. They marked their porcelain with this mark to make people think they were French Sevres, as was the "in" thing at the time. This saucer is in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION! There are no chips, cracks, scratches or discoloration. It is LIKE NEW!
