This is an Antique Flue Cover Folk Art River Landscape Oil Painting Camping in Western Wilderness 10.25. This eye catching antique folk art oil painted flue cover features a Western Wilderness landscape scene with a wide river, plants and trees suggesting autumn, blue sky with sunset, and a Pioneer-type family camping along side the river. The flue cover art depicts depth, good use of color, detail and a naive primitive style.

These antique flue covers could be purchased as blanks and painted by the artists (usually women). It is made of a paper mache type hard material. There was once a hanger in the back. There are a couple of small paint chips and a couple of small spots. A minute amount of paint flaking around the edge as you would expect. Very Very charming!
