Absolutely gorgeous & rare 19th century French Palais Royal style mother of pearl cased carnet bal, a 'dance card' etui with highly ornate engraved cornucopia & scroll decoration and 'Souvenir' inscription! Another of the incoming 'Paris finds' and one of two gorgeous old Palais Royal style aide memoire pieces that we're listing today. Both mid 1800s, both in wonderful condition and full of decorative potential! Don't miss them!
Very good to excellent condition. No, that line you see is NOT a crack across the back - it is the natural nature of the mother of pearl shell and does not represent a flaw. A bit of wear to the binding, the interior fabric somewhat aged and slightly tattered in spots. A tiny nip to the cover's upper right corner and there is a natural darkened area to the rear cover (natural shade flaw to the pearl, not damage). See pictures for measurements.

Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is received (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.
