Antique ceramic vase with mottled glaze and tendril handles in the style of Edmond Lachenal.
This vase (and it\'s mate) was acquired at an antique shop in France in the 1990\'s by our consignor. They were told it was a Lachenal piece but we doubt that attribution. The actual age and maker are unknown to us. The glaze is unlike any Lachenal pieces we\'ve seen but the tendril handles are very much in his style. This piece appears to have been molded and the tendrils appear to have been applied after the pot was unmolded but before it was glazed.
It is approx. 6 1/2\" high and about 8\" wide.
There are no chips, cracks or other damage. Three \"stilt marks\" and a mold seam are evident on the glazed base.
We have two available. Identical in condition, shape and size with slight variations in the glaze and tendrils. We are happy to combine shipping and would entertain a reasonable offer for the pair.

We use plenty of quality packing materials so that your item(s) will arrive in the same condition as they left our shop. We do recycle/re-use clean, usable packing materials when possible. If your item arrives damaged in shipment (this almost never happens) please save all packing materials and take photos of the condition of the package as it arrived. We will refund your full purchase price including shipping costs as soon as we have the documentation needed for us to file a claim against the shipper.
We do recognize that shipping costs can seem extremely high for certain items. We do not add any handling or materials fees to the actual cost of shipping. retains 10% of the shipping charges we collect from our buyers. We will always use the least cost, safest method to ship your item(s). For purchases of $250 or more, we require signature on delivery, for your protection and ours. We offer free local pickup, and, in certain cases, local delivery, in the Tampa Bay area. If you are interested in having us deliver an item, please contact us prior to offerding or making a purchase.
For furniture and other large items, you, the buyer, should make all arrangements, including payment, with the shipper of your choice. Once you have contracted with a shipper, we will coordinate pick-up logistics directly with them. We have had very good experiences with, and highly recommend, uShip. We can also refer you to local pack and ship companies we have worked with in the past.
We appreciate our international buyers and we apologize but we DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY except through the Global Shipping Program. It is nearly impossible for us to determine the customs import charges and restrictions for various countries. In addition, tracking international shipments often ends once they reach Customs in the destination country, making it impossible for us to confirm delivery. Thank you for your understanding.
RETURNS: Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt for a full refund of your purchase price, less shipping costs. Please note that the items we sell are primarily vintage, pre-owned objects with all wear and condition issues noted in the description and photos. The item you will receive is the exact item that is shown in our listing unless otherwise noted in the description. We make every attempt to describe the condition in detail but sometimes we overlook small flaws. If that is the case, please contact us prior to initiating a return so that we can work with you on a satisfactory resolution.
