Quite an interesting device, it has everything covered to open and reseal that special box of cigars. It has a claw end for removing the tacks,turn it over and there’s a hammer to nail the tacks back in. The scalpel shaped blade appears capable of cutting through the tax and company seal. This handsome piece fratures a wonderfully smooth stag handle capped in sterling silver. Very masculine and the only one of its kind I have ever seen. Most likely German origin, late 19th century.
