C1930s SUPERB HAND-PAINTED CHRISTMAS CARD - GEORGIAN STYLE COUPLE ON STAIRS For Sale

In these difficult and unprecedented times, we are all worried about things that just a short time ago were things that we did without a second thought. This excellent hand-painted Christmas greeting card dates, I think to the 1930s. It has an image of a Georgian style couple greeting each other on the stairs. The artist initials are D.S - nicely done. The card measures 12.8cm x 18cm and opens out to double the width, image area measures 7cm x 10.2cm. No envelope.

The card is in a very good minus condition. General edge, spine end and corner rubs, slight uneveness in the folding, light bends and very small creases at top corners, small, light creases at bottom corners, rubbing and light grubbiness along spine, tiny loss at bottom of spine, small bump and tiny split at top of spine, light brown spot to spine, some very small, horizontal creases at spine front and rear, some light brown spots to front panel, very small brown mark to front panel, a little light grubbiness and browning to borders of front panel, pencil year of 1936 at top of rear panel, some light finger creases, light grubbiness, some very small marks and some tiny marks and flecks to rear panel, ink greeting on inside of card, pencil \"35\" on inside of card, some brown spots, some tiny marks and flecks to inside of card, the odd tiny bump to edges. A very nice item which would look lovely in a frame. Please check scans carefully as they help with the condition too.
