Im 78 years old and have been collecting AND LEARNING almost ALL OF my life. This large piece of petrified wood was collected by myself off of a paleolithic native American camp site here in Wyoming usa by myself on private land with many many other ancient stone age tools. The top part of the tool is a little polished from ancient man handling and using this tool. IT MAY HAVE BEEN USED AS A BONE CRUSHING TYPE TOOL
I TRY TO SHOW WHAT EACH TOOL IS AND HOW IT WAS USED IN THE PICTURES. IM 78 YEARS OLD AND HAVE BEEN COLLECTING MOST OF MY LIFE.
I\'VE been on for about 20 yèars with another account. Im back again selling Paleolithic stone tool artifacts collected from a campsite on private land near the north Platte River in Natrona county Wyoming.
Tool is hefty with hard glossy sheen to it with a place for the fingers it seems. Comfortable to hold in the hand PROBABLY WITH THE more narrow POINTED END BEING THE BUSINESS END. Perhaps was thrust downwards to get the job done.
Only my opinion!
The provenance of this artifact is U.S.A. This tool...or relic... has been passed down, probably through generations and is believed to have been used for various activities such as processing hides, cooking, breaking bones to retrieve bone marrow. Etc!
This petrified wood tooĺ is unique. It is a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of the Native American culture. This artifact is a valuable addition to any collection and provide a glimpse into the rich history of the United states.
