Confederate General J.E.B. Stuart CDV Monumental Photo Co Baltimore Period Photo For Sale

This is a very nice CDV, 2 3/8 by 3 15/16ths inches, of the Confederate General J.E.B. Stuart. The photographer is The Monumental Photograph Company No. 178 W. Baltimore St. BALTIMORE MD. This CDV is from an intact, straight from the attic, album that was assembled by a member of Governor Wise of Virginia\'s family . It is in good condition with no damage or other problems. This is an original period image, but like many of these celebrity images it was made from another photo. In this case, the original photo was excellent and they did a good job with the copy. I don\'t see any retouching, and as you can see in the detail photo, the focus is good. The photo isn\'t faint or too high contrast-all in all an excellent period Stuart image. The misspelling on the caption adds a little amusement factor too. The face of the original album page will be included in the sale if desired.
