Steamboats (1957) #764"Water flows toward boats, while fire and smoke billow out of stacks. Steam emanates from pipes, and tiny flags wave in the wind. The historic July 1, 1880 "Robert E. Lee" and "Natchez" steamboat race is presented with beauty and detail. Black men can be seen working on the rear side." (as described in The Collector's Guide to Motion Lamps by Sam & Anna Samuelian, copyright 1998) A truly CLASSIC lamp made in 1957 by the Econolite Corporation of Los Angeles, California!(Copyright on the shade states 1956). This is a round lamp, measuring 11 inches high and 6 inches in diameter. The base and spinner are in EXCELLENT condition. The base has only minor pitting, but shiny luster. The spinner is completely intact, has metal fins, NO paint loss, and NO breaks in the plastic. There are only two small dents in the outer shade which do not interfere with the animation or the beautiful appearance when lit.Complete with a clear 40 watt light bulb (never use higher wattages). The switch on the base works well and the cord is in good condition with a newer style plug.
