Engraved 1868 French Model 1866 Saber Bayonet w Scabbard Franco Prussian War For Sale

This antique French Model 1866 saber bayonet is in good shape for its age and ready to ship. Measuring approx 22 1/4\" long, this unusual antique bayonet is etched with floral work and the name \"J. Plum\" on on side and \"Souvenir de Gemehl\" on the other. This was most likely a commemorative of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871. The spine of the blade is engraved with the name of the arsenal \"Mutzig Juni 1868\" It has a few dark \"patches\" on the blade but is in otherwise good shape. It has a brass ribbed grip and comes with the scabbard, which is in good shape other than a small dent near the tip. (pictured) A rare item, that would make a great addition to any collection!
