Fantastic Identified Family Lot of 13 Antique Daguerreotypes Tintypes 1/6 Plate For Sale

Fantastic identified Vermont/Minnesota family lot of 13 Dageureotypes/Tintypes. Some as early as 1840\'s which include numerous family members of the Jewett clan. At least one was a Civil War veteran, and the shining star amongst the bunch is two beautiful sisters with individual photos set in the same case. This family group originated in and around Northfield, Vermont and slowly migrated west, apparently settling in Wisconsin before finding their way into the Wright County region of Minnesota. Many of them lived long and productive lives and, according to records from the War Between the States, a William Proctor Jewett served in a New York Regiment as a volunteer from Vermont.Many of these awesome relics are in a very good quality condition. To our knowledge, none of the protective glass has been removed over the years, which certainly would have damaged the delicate and primitive photographic processes of the day. A couple lack glass, and a couple have some wear/flaws to the photos. Likewise, some cases are not fully intact, while others are quite good and rather impressively adorned. Also, not all of them bear identification markings/tags. We are very much convinced nonetheless that these all spawned from the same lineage.Impressive and exceptionally rare simply due to volume alone, these are truly one of a kind and historically important.
