French Bayonet Model 1892 Berthier Modified Blade Length No Scabbard. This is 2nd pattern with the hooked quillion removed. It has the arsenal shortened blade to 11.5\" maybe for a later conflict. Overall length 16\". An extended muzzle ring is present but has the early composition grip with rivets, there is a gouge next to a rivet. Not sure which model category fits for this item. Theres a serial number on whats left of the quillion. Rusted metal on cross guard and pommel, which might polish out. Push button works. Always study photos carefully; including for blade condition.
