For Sale: Gretsch 1926 Orchestrella Tenor BanjoGretsch bought out Bacon & Day in the mid 1920’s and further developed their patent of the 19 fret tenor banjo. This is a great sounding banjo from that golden era and one of the cleanest ones around. It has a nice neck profile and low action. The deep pot projects a clean and clear mid-range to bass sound which compliments many playing styles. Details:Maple neck complimented with 5 piece layered head stock & pearl floral MOP. Maple rim with Clarophone style pot holes and nickel plated Ferrell’s. Raised head flat bar tone ring and 5 Star clear mylar head. Maple resonator with ebony purfling and inset nickel flange. Original Presto tail piece. Planet geared tuners (original) and smooth to operate. Original case in vintage condition.
