Item Condition:Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or crazing.
Absolutely stunning hand-painted gold gilt on cobalt footed and lidded dresser jar by J. Menau with a gold "echt kobalt" mark. It is in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. It measures 7 1/2" (l) x 5 1/4" (w) x 4 3/4 (h). Please note this vintage piece has been previously loved. Please refer to the photos and feel free to ask me anything prior to purchasing. I try to take photos that show any defects or signs of wear, however, I am no expert in photography or antiquities. I will say that the photos make the item seem black in color and it is a very deep beautiful shade of cobalt blue. There are a few photos where I brightened it up to show the blue. Those photos will be followed by the original unedited photos. This item was picked up from a Virginia estate where the lady of the house truly enjoyed living in opulence. I wish to carry that over to the new owner of this trinket box.
