A Takeda doll from the Late Edo period (1800~).

He holds a flag in his left hand and a matchlock gun in his right hand, and there is a chest of armor in the background.

TAKEDA DOLLS are traditional Japanese folk dolls, dressed in distinctive embroidered fabric, depicting the poses of popular Kabuki actors from the Edo period performing famous scenes.

Late Edo period, 19th century.

Slight color change due to aging.

There are fine cracks in the gofun on the forehead and at the hairline on both sides.

There is small damage in various places on the costume. See images for condition of doll.
