Stunning pair of late 19th Century Hammered BrassRepousse Wall Chargers or Portrait Plaques featuring King Henry IV, Henry theGreat of France (13 December 1553 – 14 May 1610) and Queen Marie de Medici (26April 1575 – 3 July 1642), second wife of King Henry IV. The plaques features acentral portrait, King Henri in fleur-de-lis robes stamped 1601 H-IV, and QueenMarie de Medici in crown and jewels stamped 1601 M de M. Both surrounded by alavish border of fruits, scrolls and masks, on a silver alloy base hammeredonto the brass sheet base. Measures 23 1/4" diameter and are in overallExcellent antique condition, there are a few small holes in the embossed areasas shown, otherwise wonderful antique pieces with little loss.
