Pair of Late 18th Century Sevres Hand Painted Floral & Gold Porcelain Salts: $495.00
Pair of Late 18th Century Sevres Hand Painted Floral & Gold Porcelain Salts Pair of late 18th century hard paste porcelain salts. Decorated with hand painted flowers in pink, red, yellow, purple, and blue. With gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom with the blue crown above a L mark mark with four dots for the gilder Pierre-Theodore Buteux. Working period is listed as unknown, but possibly 1765 to 1884 or later. These are not marked with a date code, but would have been produced after 1773 since they are hard paste porcelain. These have wear to the gilding and numerous large and small chips to the base and base edge. Each salt measures approximately 5 1/8 inches long x 2 3/4 inches wide x 1 5/8 inches tall. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces. Click here to see all the Sevres porcelain we have for available.
