This is a nice old set of two different hand carved wooden statues of Asian men (see photos). The items have been hand carved of wood with some insets for eyes and teeth (some of these are no longer present - see photos). These are old wood carving statues and they look like they were carved to be lamp bases (see photos). The items are not marked by the carver or artist (see photos). The carvings depict Asian men and they look to be Chinese men to me. I believe that the carvings are from China for the origin (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). Each statue measures in total about 1 foot 4 and 1/2 inches high and each is about 6 inches wide from side to side at the base. The items have some splits in the wood from age, some losses, some finish losses and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice pair of Asian wood carvings to add to your home decor.
