MY TAKE ON IT/RECOMMENDATIONS I love the Crystal Beats!! I'm a fan of thicker shells, and I love a sharp bearing edge. The fact that these drums have a double 45-degree edge allows the head to float more. This coupled with the thin counterhoop (my preference) provides a deep fundamental tone with plenty of attack.
