Here's a PHILCO Phonograph Radio Record Player in Wood Case Model # 48-1256.  

The wood case is solid but does show signs of wear like scratches/surface nicks/missing paint.

There is a needle in the arm, and the turntable (manually turned) spins fine with the return arm in working order.  This item is being sold "As Is" & "As Described" for Parts / Repair / Restoration Only.

• 23 x 15 x 12 inch / Mahogany or Walnut. The "Chicago Daily Tribune" August 17, 1947 contains an ad from Philco for the following models: 1226, 1230FM, 1227FM, 1201, 360 and 1256. It is a typical add for selling out the 1226, 1230FM and 1227FM with a trade in of 30 $. Later Philco will offer the "1948 line" in fact 1947/48. This model is offered as the "Aristocrat Table Model" - in Walnut for $ 124.95 and in Mahagony for $ 129.95 - with no trade allowance.
