Up For Sale:RARE! HEAVY Ash Paper Mache 18” Scale Huge Standing Nativity CAMEL Christmas!
Condition: Excellent, pre-owned, used with slight imperfections any camel of this age would have, especially if he's travelled as far as this one has! The overall image of the camel and material used created the 'look' of wear and use. IT is very solid, multi-colors-layers of paint--appears to be made of an ashen type--paper mache material and out side surfaces or edges are with decor designed 'chips' and irregularities'. I see NO chips, cracks or damage to this piece. All the luggage pieces being carried on the camel back are ALL part of the original design and are 'one piece'. The feet-legs are SOLID, Entire camel weights 11.7 lbs. Stands alone on its own, very secure, intact and solid. Has green layer felt on feet bottoms to sit on polished furniture Or, can stand comfortably on its own inside a large life size manger or nativity scene. Vintage, this piece is from the 1970's and although marked (see photos) I cannot make out who the artist or mfgr. is! So, I am stating 'unknown' maker.
