RARE HISTORICAL SURVIVOR ORDER of the ARROW OA 1950s CEREMONIAL CUSTOM

This ceremonial custom is truly a piece of Order of the Arrow history, (survivor). It is my thought that this box returned from the 1954 conference and was never opened again till 2024, almost 3/4 of a century later. (Time capsule of OA history).

The Brotherhood Arrowman that owned this was from Yosemite lodge 278 in the early 1950s.

The custom is a larger size, headdress, loin cloth, leggings, moccasins, and shirt, all made from a heavy purple felt material. Simulated bead work on the costume is silk screened on the felt pieces. There are a few stains and poles in the costume, but for its age it is in wonderful condition. There is also various templates and forms from the company that made the Indian costume.
