RARE Steam Whistle From PULLMAN STANDARD BUTLER PA L Co 200 Steam Engine READ For Sale

This listing is for a RARE WORKING vintage / antique brass Steam Whistle From the PULLMAN STANDARD building in BUTLER PA. It comes from a gentleman who’s grandfather worked at the company. This whistle was the “ end of day” whistle / sound for the employees, and when the facility closed, he took it with him. It is marked L. Co, and 200. I believe L. Co stands for Lunkenheimer. It is lightly tested and has been working. Great for collectors of local PA items, Steam Engine / railroad items, brass, gifting, and much more.

It is in good working condition, I have lightly tested it by somewhat hooking it to my air compressor. It makes a nice whistle, though I’m sure it should be louder when hooked into the correct power source. It has some wear, as to be expected for an item from an industrial setting. It has some dings and denting, but no cracks or holes. See photos. Still functions despite markings, they just show genuine age. Threading in the base still crisp and useable.
