RARE WORKING LAWSON ZEPHYR CLOCK P 40 STYLE 304 DECO 1937 DESIGN, PASADENA CA For Sale

This is a rare, working, LAWSON ZEPHYR P 40 MODEL 304 Art Deco rotating drum CLOCK. Lawson introduced the clock in 1937 to pay homage to the Zephyr train whose sleek design was the rage of the day. The clock was thought have been designed by Kem Weber, although there is evidence that it was actually designed by Paul Ferher and George Adomatis.
PLEASE SEE ALL THE PHOTOS FOR CONDITION.The clock is fully working and all original.This example was made circa 1940, after Lawson moved production to Pasadena CA. It still has a majority of the dark faux wood finish over the copper on the front and sides. The top has lost most of the finish from oxidation and tarnish, which is typical from sun and air damage that occurs over many decades. There is some scratching and spotting, but to have the original finish is rare, since many of these clocks are either striped down to the bare copper, or are refinished. The clock still has the original feet, the brass accent pieces, the clear plastic window, and the rear plate access panel. This is a great clock and probably one of the nicer all original examples out there, and I have priced it well below the other Zephyr\'s on , but I am open to serious offers.
