Rare Antique Wooden Biscuits Advertising Display Box Erie Steam Bakery c. 1850: $275.00
This is a wonderful antique advertising counter box from the mid 1800s in Erie, PA. The outside of the box advertises for W.J. Sands & Sons, Erie Steam Bakery. This bakery opened in 1842 at West 5th & Sassafras Streets in downtown Erie, PA. The bakery moved in 1873 to East 4th & French Streets, now known as The Lafayette Place, in downtown Erie, PA. The bakery closed in 1919. This antique counter box measures approximately 19.5" in width; 9.75" in height; and, 12.5" in depth. The lid sits perfectly on the top of the box but the straps holding the lid in place are separated from the box. Overall, for a wooden box of this age, it is in remarkable antique condition. Please review the pictures I have included. We only ship domestically in the continental U.S.
