Rare Original Burgess Batteries Advertising Painted Tin Thermometer Sign Radio For Sale

This listing is for a very rare and unique piece ofadvertisingfromthe late 1920's/early 1930's. This is an originaladvertisingthermometer from the Burgess Battery Company - a leadinginnovator of the dry cell battery that powered many radios and flashlights of the era. The Burgess Battery Company eventuallybecame part of Mallory Battery, now known as Duracell. Finding any advertising pieces from Burgess is very rare, especially in this condition.
This piece is in niceoriginal condition with minor wear from weather and age but is overall very well preserved. The thermometer works well but is slightly loose - the braided wire used to hold it intact may be able to be tightened but that will be up to thewinning buyer. There are some minor dents, scratches and small spots of oxidation present as can be seen in the photos. The colors are still vivid and the graphics are clear.
