ORIGINAL VINTAGE GARCIA Y VEGA CIGAR STORE ADVERTISING HUMIDORThis is just a great original piece. I have had a few great humidors in the past and have kept a fantastic early Dunhill one for my collection from long ago. This week I picked a very unique pair of humidors that come out of a cigar store from some time in the early to mid 20th Century. I have searched the internet and been unable to find another example just like these 2 that I am offering. This is one of my favorites that I have come across. First off, this is a large humidor with the box measuring 9 3/4 x 16 3/4 inches x 5 inches. It is a special piece as it has been leather wrapped with gold printing on it. The company logo is printed on the top cover with what looks like remnants of 2 matching gold stripes and border. That gold has mostly worn off. The name is also printed in gold on the front of the box but the gold is mostly worn away. The sides have wonderful thick brass handles with great patina. Overall the leather is really in excellent condition. It is a dark maroon color with just some minor soiling. I was going to clean it but thought that would be best for the new owner to decide about how much they would want to clean off. The hinged lid is excellent with a strong hinge and original ribbon connections holding it in place. The inside lid has the original label behind the clear plastic cover. The original Aztec Clay Manufacturing brass bar is across the bottom of the lid and can be removed with great ease. The leather lining folds inside the lip of the bottom of the case. Printed in gold across this is \"Napoleans\" \"Corona Larga\" \"Del Rio\" and \"Churchill\". In doing research, I was unable to figure out when any of these were made as I cannot find these named cigars by Garcia Y Vega for sale anywhere. The wood liner of the box has the insert stepped sizes to hold each particular size cigar. Really just a complete package. One of the coolest original Cigar humidors you are going to find.
