Rock-Ola Gazelle Bubbler 100-CD Jukebox, art deco style, coin or free play, 2007:
$4227.77

Rock-Ola® Gazelle Bubbler Jukebox

This full-size jukebox, which adopts the styling of one of the most beautiful and sought-after jukeboxes ever built, the 1942 Wurlitzer Model 950, was made by Rock-Ola, one of the most trusted days in commercial jukeboxes, in 2007. The lucky buyer will get World War II era styling, and modern CD laser electronics.

Jukebox holds 100 compact discs, random play for several days worth

The RockOla jukebox holds 100 compact discs (CDs) of the buyer’s choosing, with each song on the CD accessible by a old-school, pretty, set of amber buttons at the front of the machine. If you install CDs with an average of 15 songs each, that’s one thousand, five hundred songs readily accessible. The jukebox has a random play feature, easily accessible, that will play all your songs without repetition — over three days, playing all day and night, worth of non-repeating songs, if all the CD slots are filled. The jukebox owner can decide to require inserted coins to play the CD selections, since a full coin operation, including a return switch and coin return slot on the side of the jukebox, is included. The jukebox has been set to free play, requiring no coins, since I received it from the factory.

The jukebox is very lightly played, always in a home setting

The wood, the metal, all the trim, the grill covers are all gorgeous, like when the Rockola jukebox was wheeled into my home from the factory. I have played the jukebox for a very few hours, and have used it occasionally used it as “mood lighting” since then due to its beauty. If it were a coin, the quality would be near mint. My large, detailed, photos are your best guide to condition, but a casual examination of the wood and buttons and glass and other features of the jukebox demonstrate no damage of note whatsoever. Again, study the pictures.

While the jukebox sound is fabulous, the mechanism is fascinating to watch. The changer whirls through the CD choices, and flips the CD down to the player, and returns it when the chosen song is over. The play mechanism is similar too what I remember from a .45 single vinyl jukebox looking and sounding like.

The jukebox graphics are beautiful, by the best in the business

Old-school, colorful, sophisticated graphics and colorful accents define the Gazelle CD4 jukebox. Graceful horned gazelles appear leaping on the screen-printed and illuminated glass panels accenting the center grille. Custom printed arch panels, a molded wood crown, and shoulders dominate the art deco-inspired cabinet.

Everyone who has watched an old movie featuring a jukebox is surely familiar with the bubbler tubes — four within the cabinet. The air bubbles percolate just fast enough as the florescent light heats the water to create the bubble effect. A kaleidoscope of colors flows through two color translucent plastic cylinders. I count about 19 trim pieces that include genuine die-cast metal, triple-plated with copper, nickel, and polished chrome. With quality in mind, only the finest hardwoods are used.

High-performance equipment yields beautiful output

The 900-watt dual amplifier system drives multiple high-quality multiple speakers through the grills below the CD song selection buttons, and features live performance reproduction. Included is a Rock-Ola remote control and a small remote signal receiver that can be set up around the corner from the jukebox, allowing remote operation from another room.

The jukebox stands five-feet high, 33.5 inches wide, and 26.75 inches deep. The weight is just under 300 pounds, listed at 284 pounds. The jukebox is on wheels to make moving around your business, a dance floor, or home, especially on hardwood floors, nearly effortless.

Pricing

If you can find this jukebox new on-line, it sells for $7,995, give or take $1,000. A used version usually starts between $2,500 and $5,500, often dependent on condition. My jukebox is in excellent condition, but I am opening the offerding on my jukebox for significantly less.

Pick up the jukebox at my home for free, or I will work with your shipper

I am not offering shipping on the jukebox, leaving shipping to the discretion of the buyer. I will work with the buyer, or the buyer’s shipper, to coordinate pickup. I am also offering free pickup at my home in central Austin, Texas.
