SUPERB C1930S CHINESE CARVED SPINACH JADE PLANTER BOWL W ROSEWOOD FITTED STAND For Sale

Description....For your consideration we have here a impressive c1930s Chinese carved spinach jade planter or bowl in a large size with a lotus plant design and lotus flower handles on its original just as impressive rosewood display stand. This planter was produced in China sometime around the c1930s according to the information from the family that owned it as it was very well kept for almost 85 years or so. The color shade of the jade is a stunning true spinach coloring with some white and dark green mottling having a superb hand polish with a excellent patina. The sides are decorated in a lotus plant design in raised edge panels set into the lobed shaped sides and ends with carved and pierced flower handles with the underside having four contoured feet that fit into the slots on the top of the stand. The rosewood stand which is original to the planter is of the highest quality with wonderful graining and color having a thick shaped slotted top with a center hole having a raised edge sitting upon a high collar which is above a openworked skirt or apron with twisted rope like legs and feet connected to each other with aundulatedshaped stretcher for added strength. A fabulous opportunity for the collector or dealer to purchase a fine Chinese jade object and the reserve is well below its value so good luck to all!
Condition...The jade planter is in excellent condition with no faults of any kind and the stand is also in excellent condition with only light surface wear especially around the foot holes from taking the planter on and off the stand otherwise no faults to report on the stand as well.
