SUPERB French c1830 6 Sided Mirrored Candy Bonbon Chocolate Confectionery Box For Sale

This is really fabulous antique French 6 sided stiff cardboard and glass CANDY box.... very elaborate and will date to the Napoleonic period.
As you can see it is six sided with slight damage to a corner which has broken the glass slightly as well as the gilt embossed stiff card frame that goes all the way around the glass lid.
That is the only issue with the box....which could be restored by a skilful person. I like to leave items alone and it does not bother me its got this damage as it looks well in my cabinet full of period boxes.
The top lid is glass and has reverse painting design by the look of it with the vibrant green and gilt circles then what look like jewels.. but they are just glittery foiled colours of red and green to look like jewels... then in the very centre it has a print of a Napoleonic soldier on horseback a Lancer or Hussar type with his sword in his right hand held up position at his face in gallop charge mode... 6 more can be seen in the back ground.. faint.I would imagine this box was designed to be given to a soldier....or to be bought by a soldier whilst on leave and given to his wife or girlfriend.So now look at the sides and see the gilt and silver embossed weave like pattern.The base is a really nice pink colour with the original label which is in French and says something like....
Rue St Honore No.45a cote de L'hotel des de AmericainsAla fidèle bergèreL ALOUETMd Confiseura' Paris
Then translated it is something like...
Rue St Honore No.45next to the Hotel des Americainsto the faithful shepherdessALOUET Md Confiseura 'Paris
The lid just lifts off inside its the same pink colour as the base with an embossed flower like design around the edges of the interior mirrors. These mirrors are not cracked but do have typical mirror black marks.
The box has done really well to survive.
It is 3 and half inch x 1 inch deep.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm dia....that is just short of 7/8ths inch dia.
