Stunning Mid 19th C. Ohio Star Quilt Finely Pieced & Quilted 80” x 80” Summer For Sale

Red on White Quilt collectors, here’s a stunningly pretty, very finely pieced and elaborately quilted, antique Ohio Star from the mid-19th Century.

Found in Pennsylvania, this summer weight beauty measures just over 80” x 80” square.

This quilt is showing its 150+ year age as some of the red fabric is showing signs of erosion, both on the stars and the binding. It also has an old stain on the back that may be rust or blood, and does not significantly affect the beautiful graphic impact of the front Ohio Star design. Please see detailed photos for condition examination.

This be a really fine antique quilt that would be worth 3-5x as much if not for the erosion. It would still make a beautiful addition to any collection and would look wonderful on a wall.

If not for the erosion, this would easily be a $500-$1000 quilt, given the age of the fabric, fine piecing, and exquisite quilting. I’ll try this at $195.00 OBO, or best reasonable offer.
