The unusually lustrous and triangular shaped Benitoite is perfectly formed and zoned with a thick, sapphire blue rim and a small pale blue core which is an ideal aspect of the best Benotoites. It is translucent to gemmy in places and exhibits a nice luster on the large faces and a glassy luster on the the thin prism faces on the edges, as is typical of these. This is an exceptional crystal! There is one nearly 4mm, glossy black Neptunite crystal on the front lower right of the Benitoite for perfect accent! The contrast between the rich sapphire blue Benitoite crystal and the jet black Neptunite against the white Natrolite is absolutely ideal and accentuates this very aesthetic piece.
