This a superbly Carved Crucifix was made from Walnut, both cross and corpus. Walnut is used on large sculptures such as this one, because it does not brake while the artisan is working it, and because it lasts a very long time.

This large cross features a detailed hand carved sculpture of Jesus nailed on a wooden cross with forged iron-styled nails over his hands and feet. The large sculpture is well-proportioned and has realistic details throughout the body, face, and hair. This life-like religious crucifix is in outstanding condition and impeccable fine finish.

The Cross measure 45.5 inches tall, 27.5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches thick

The Corpus measures 24 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and 4-inches thick
