Surveying Transit Machine 22706 Zuiho Optical Co Japan For Sale

Very nice 4 inch Transit by Zuiho Optical Instrument Company Machine 22706 stamped Japan. From an Estate Sale. I know little about a transit, but optics appear to be very clear and in good condition. Transit head and all knobs turn as designed. The lens of the compass housing(which is removable and therefore assumed to be a drop-in replaceable) is cracked as noted in pictures and needs to be replaced or disassembled and further cleaned for it to function as designed as it appears moisture entered the compass housing. Nice Wood case is structurally sound,the leather strap is intact but has a tear and could use replacement. Plumb-bob and tool set is included as noted in pictures. Ships most economical to USPS addresses. Shipment to other than a USPS address is possible with further communication and buyer paying any additional shipping costs.
