Offered is this unusual sad iron stand with heat shield for protecting work surface. Sheet metal shield is mounted to bottom of trivet with leg extensions added below. \"XL\" is cast onto the trivet. Body measures 6 inches long by 4 3/8 inches wide, standing 1 11/16 inches tall and weighing 11 ounces. This is in sound condition, sturdily constructed with no movement. Approximately 35% of its original light brown / gold japanning is intact. There is very light rust in spots. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
