VINTAGE H.F. BEHRENS/WHEELING WV STONEWARE CANNING JAR For Sale

Up for sale is a 6 3/8\" tallStoneware Canning Jar with West Virginia Advertising, Western PA origin, cylindrical jar with wax sealer rim and tooling to shoulder and foot. The front is decorated with a finely stenciled tulip ad two small stars at the shoulder. The advertising is from a Center Wheeling Grocer. The stenciling for F. H. Behrens was done between the years of 1846-1910. It advertises, H.F. Behrens Grocer, 2217 & 2219 Market Street, Wheeling, W.Va., 3601 Jacob & South Branch. Thestoneware canning jaris in good condition with the exception, that it has a visible crack on the side of it.(see photo) It is still very solid and would make a nice addition for the collector.
