Measures 110" wide by 58.5" tall, with two grommets and no indication of maker. Stars are hand stitched in beautiful even stitches, each star measures aprox 3.5" wide.
On the seam is handwritten "Lt. G. Breckenridge"
There is significant discoloration, mostly in stars area, as shown in photos. The linen tore away from the reinforced side that holds the grommets, and has been repaired by prior owner as shown in photos. Apart from this, there are no holes, tears or fraying.
The flag is beautiful, stunnning in its size and careful construction. The colors are beautiful as well - the red and white stripes are constructed from separate fabric, and the "white" is more of an oatmeal color.
There is no indication of the manufacture date or maker, but based on its 48 stars and the appearance and feel, this was likely used between 1912-1949.
