By 1966 Andy Warhol was becominginternationally known and nearing the height of the cultural effects he and the factory would have on the world.
He had been making and showing his \"art\" films for a couple years and the factory crowd and super-stars were starting to become celebrities.

In February he staged is Uptight performance residency and in April he would launch the The Exploding Plastic Inevitable (EPI).

In between he presentedthe premier of the film \"Kitchen\" withEdie Sedgwick and abenefit for Mario Montez and Ronald Tavel, Warhol\'s screenwriter who wrote Kitchen at the Film-Makers\' Cinematheque in NYC.

And here\'s where it all gets crazy. Check outall thenames involved in a reference within the ad...
The \"Swan\" film section of the ad references the \"CBS Interview with Stan Brakhage\". This is inreferenceto the 1965 Walter Cronkite segment on CBS News which also included the Velvet Underground!
In the news segment, Cronkite reported on filmmaker Piero Heliczer and Stan Brakhage. About Heliczer he said, \"He\'s shooting a film titled Dirt, in 8 mm color, with the help of a musical group called the Velvet Underground.\"
Andy Warhol, The Velvets, Edie Sedgwick (wearing her leopard skin fur coat), Donald Lyons and Gerard Malanga went to see James Brown at the Apollo Theater in Harlem on the same night as the CBS broadcast and then took Edie\'s limo to Danny Field\'s, who would later discover the MC5, IggyPop and manage the Ramones,apartment to watch it.

Condition:
The cover of the newspaper is nearly detached -outside of the cover the spine is fairly tight.
There is considerable yellowing at the spine and across the center of the newspaper, along where it was once folded, this is throughout the entire newspaper, more pronounced at the front and lessening considerably towards the end.
The pages have considerabledog earing and tearing on the outer edges of the pages.
TheWarholAd isVG, there is a tear on the edge of the page that approaches the edge of thead but does not tear into it.
The newspaper is yellowed more than the photos indicate.
