Vintage 1931 Underwood-Elliot-Fisher Lime-GREEN Portable Typewriter w/Case. Nice For Sale

Here\'s a Super Nice Underwood Portable typewriter from about 1931 I think. Made in Bridgeport, Connecticut--- the full name of the company was Underwood-Elliot-Fisher back then.(I\'m not quite sure of the 1931 date so don\'t hold me to that--- I don\'t know for sure, but I think I\'m close). It is very compact--- very much a space & weight saving design.It\'s in Excellent Cosmetic Condition except it\'s missing one Ribbon Spool cover. But otherwise is has minimal cosmetic marks--- the most being on the spool cover that is there. Otherwise, only a few additional nicks and scratches--- I would call it about 95% perfect. It has a really Beautiful paint job---- a crazy two tone blend of bright green with greenish marbleized accents--- Cool! Mechanically. there\'s a lot of dust and dirt down deep and in some of the nooks---- but the workings are fairly clean so it types fairly well--- it worked fairly well when I typed the test page but I have not extensively tested it. The carriage advances as it should, and seems to do everything else as it should, as far as I know. The letters are fairly clear and dark--- but the ribbon has some sections in poor condition and should be replaced. It also should get a good cleaning and servicing to optimize the moving parts (like that central ribbon thingy.) The roller is rather dry--- it can use some rosin or something to improve it\'s grip. But as it is, it types well, considering the age of it---- but please don\'t consider it Mint/Perfect.The case is in very nice condition--- just a few minor scuffs and some dirt in the corners, some of the leatherette can stand to be glued down, and it has lots of Patina on the latch and metal parts. So it\'s Not Mint condition, but a nice example and a Rare bird in that color! What you see is what you\'ll get--- the actual item for sale is pictured.Continental US Shipping will be $20.00.
