Vintage 1940's Canasta Ensemble Playing Cards Coasters Swizzle Sticks Gilt Book For Sale

Vintage 1940's J. & S. Creations Inc. Natural Leaf Canasta Ensemble Set. Includes 2 Complete Playing Card Decks with Bird Designs on both, Leaf shaped all rubber Coasters and bakelite Swizzle Sticks in a faux leather, Gilt wrapped Book case.

If your parents or grandparents (or you!) were married back in the 40's-50's then you should have been so lucky to receive a set like this as a wedding gift!

The box is lined with a flocked velveteen paper and gold paper lines the edges of the "book". Covered in faux leather naugahyde. Includes rules and scoring pad.(Only about 3 Unmarked sheets on this little scoring pad though. The Box is approximately 12" L x 8" W x 1.5" D

The box and contents do have some wear, the Natural Leaf inside sheet has a tear with tape, as well as other imperfections, dings, marks and scuffs. The playing card decks by Merrigold Press are both in excellent condition. This set does not include a card tray unfortunately but if you have an extra, they were all about the same size back in this day and it will most likely fit.
