Vintage beautiful 1969 Olympia SM9 portable typewriter. Made in Germany, Olympia Werke AG, Wilkelmshaven. The two tone light gray snd dark gray bottom enamel finish in very good condition with few blemishes. The dark charcoal key board is in excellent condition almost looks like bake lite. The zipper case and faux black leather is in very good solid original condition. The inside liner has a couple of small tears to the lining as shown in the pictures zipper is good. The serial number is 3797020. The typewriter is in exceptionally good condition and clean. The typewriter has a very unique block font. The keys strike and return and the carriage advances well as you type, good platen, backspace good, paper feed, all feet, new ribbon, ribbon feed, metal spools, margin release, tab, bell all good. Types very well smooth and sharp. Very nice font. Good chrome and graphics. The four washers supporting the carriage are in good condition allowing smooth movement of the carriage. The typewriter measures 13” x 13”x 6 1/4”. The case is in very good condition and measures 14 1/2 ” x 13 1/2” x 6 3/4”. Overall the typewriter and case are in excellent condition.
