Vintage Arc WAGNER Sidney O No 8 Cast Ion Flat Bottom Kettle Restored Condition. For Sale

This is a WAGNER No 8 flat bottom kettle that dates to around 1910 and is in restored condition. There is some mild shallow pitting on the interior bottom surface. Sits flat on a polished granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs.

Test for flatness of Pan. With the pan resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim of the pan searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the pan until pan stops moving.

Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light. Photos are part of the item’s description.
