This is a 3-way lamp with the first turn on the knob lighting up the bottom 3 bulbs, the second turn lights up the top bulb and the third turn lights up all all 4 bulbs. This lamp takes standard sized house socket bulbs. photographed are the GE 40G25 soft white bulbs. They sell for $14 for 6. We prefer to not have to ship glass light bulbs and would like to leave that to the online retailers. Bulbs pictured are not included for fragility and added shipping costs/complications. Again, EASY bulb to buy.
